Boat and Tackle

The Golden Girl is the newest and fastest boat in the south coast charter fleet. A 36' Northern Bay, Powered by a 610 hp Volvo engine, she is capable of reaching 26 knots. This speed enables us to fish areas that, in the past, weren't reachable given a ten hours fishing day. Golden Girl is extremely comfortable and equipped with all required U.S. Coast Guard safety equipment, state of the art electronics, a full sized head, microwave, and most important, a huge back deck providing ample space for a group of six to fish in comfort.

Our tackle is another feature that sets us apart from other charter boats. We use Daiwa Saltist reels and Daiwa Saltiga rods. This allows anglers to fish with a light quick-retrieve setup with great feel. This equipment has the strength to land the big ones.
